In the original version of the game, you must save Princess Toadstool from Bowser by going through eight fantasy worlds filled with enemies and obstacles. As one of four characters (Mario, Luigi, Toad or Princess Toadstool), you can explore these worlds solo or with a friend in co-op mode.

In order to make their way to each world’s end boss and rescue the princess, players needed to find hidden paths that lead them past many dangers such as man-eating plants and fireballs shot out from cannons.

Conclusion

When it comes to video games, Mario is king. The original version of this game had four playable characters: Mario himself, Luigi, Toadstool (who would later become Princess Peach), and an extra character that you could only play with if two players were playing at once. When played by one player they can choose between solo mode or coop mode; when played by two players there are three modes available – alternating turns where each player plays until they lose, time attack where each player plays until the time runs out, and competitive mode which is similar to coop mode but one player starts off with three lives while the second player starts off with only one life.
